How we do it:

  • Design team coordination utilising the BIM format, ensuring coordination of consultants input, and also delivery of prescribed areas.
  • Ongoing review of developing scheme against project brief and cost constraints to promote added value and efficiency in delivery.
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts, such as Building Control Advisors, Fire Consultants, Security Consultants, etc, or similar statutory representatives relevant to the project, to ensure the detailed design achieves the necessary performance requirements and sign-off/ approvals.

As with previous stages of work, we have a wealth of experience in delivering RIBA Stage 5-7 design projects on a broad range of unique projects working for both Employer and Contractor.

Complex Care Health Architecture

Construction

  • Attend the project pre-start meeting and discuss the Pre-Construction Information with the Principal Contractor.
  • Where requested, on behalf of the client, notify the HSE of the project particulars as per schedule 1 of the CDM Regulations
  • Ensure Principal Contractor prepares a construction phase plan
  • Attendance at design/project meetings (up to 6 attendances) during Construction Phase where relevant to health and safety
  • Monitor significant design development including Principal Contractor design and ensure design considerations give regard to health and safety risk controls if required.
  • Ensure any significant design alterations eliminate hazards and reduce risks and issue information to Principal Contractor.
  • Ensure designers comply with the specified duties and that designers and Principal Contractor co-operate during the Construction Phase in relation to design or design changes.

Health & Safety File & Project Handover

  • Agree the format / content and obtain information for inclusion in the health and safety file
  • Deliver the Health & Safety File to the client upon completion, OR where the principal designer role concludes before the end of the project, pass the health & safety file to the principal contractor
  • Home owner packs are excluded although we would be willing to provide a fee should these be required
