JDA were appointed by the Client as Architect, Interior Designer and Principal Designers for RIBA stages 1-4 followed by novation to the Contractor during stages 5 and 6.
The project included a planning variation to replace a scheme previously designed by others.
The project created a new build leisure building to serve the existing Woodland Lakes resort including reception, spa, swimming pool, changing rooms, cafe, commercial kitchen, shop area, associated plant and ancillary spaces and flexible space for conferences / gym classes etc.
The building was conceived to appear like an agricultural building respecting distant views from neighbouring properties, while incorporating angular roof forms, cantilevering entrance eaves line and asymmetrical feature gable, with curtain walling allowing views from pool and cafe out over the landscape.
The project was completed in mid 2020.
