JDA were engaged directly by land owner Walker Hauliers Ltd from inception, through concept and planning stages including planning consultancy, to the development of Building Regulations drawings and information.
The development meets an identified need for a mix of housing types, including the provision of a significant proportion of bungalows that would suit the retirement market.
The layout is divided into a number of clearly defined areas including a decorative feature entrance, a tree lined avenue with ‘gatehouse’ style properties and a central green open area including SuDS (Sustainable drainage systems). Higher density of homes back on to adjacent employment land use, and a lower density of homes are positioned to the northern and eastern perimeters to allow for a natural buffer to neighbouring woodland.
The development was completed in phases from 2018 onwards.
