Jason WrightTechnical Director
I started my career in Architecture as an apprentice as soon as I finished secondary school and progressed year on year working as a technician, learning on the job and qualifying with a degree in Construction Management from Sheffield Hallam University. I worked in Sheffield for 15 years on a wide range of projects gaining experience in lots of different sectors. Since moving to JDA in 2011 as a senior technologist I have worked autonomously on lots of exciting and challenging projects, helping to deliver many successful builds. I take pride in the work I produce to ensure I can deliver quality design solutions for every project, big or small, simple or complex. My knowledge and loyalty has led me to become a director in the company overseeing all technical teams.
I have worked on lots of satisfying projects over the years, and so it’s difficult for me to pick a favourite as I consider every project I have worked on a success. I would say one of the more interesting was the construction of a purpose-built outdoor showground, complete with new lake, themed structures, stadium, and ancillary accommodation for the display of outdoor theatrical shows for 11 Arches in Bishop Auckland. I was lucky enough to visit and watch one of the first shows with my family which involved local artists and volunteers delivering a spectacular show that I am proud to have help deliver.
Away from work
I enjoy a busy family life, and keep active by playing squash, badminton, cycling and walking with my dogs and family. I also love to relax in my self-built spa.
