Having gained a degree in Construction Management I initially fell into design rather than Project Management although my heart was always in the management of projects. Having started at JDA supporting the design team after a couple of years I was given the opportunity to progress into a project management role which I fully embraced and have flourished thereafter. JDA has created me the opportunity to develop to a senior Director level in the business and I take personal pride in the numerous multi million pound projects I have successfully delivered. I have thoroughly enjoyed the more interactive position being a PM provides. Building close relationships with Clients and Contractors is my forte, along with bringing commercial understanding and value.
One of my first projects that I led as a Project Manager was a new cricket centre of excellence for Warsop Sporting Trust, a charitable organisation. The £2.5m new build project involved the creation of new cricket & football pitches along with bowling green, indoor nets, clubhouse and banqueting facilities. The project was a huge success and has seen the club go from strength to strength over the last decade. 2015 saw the club host a first class County Match for NCCC, the first time they had played a home match away from Trent Bridge for many years, and one of their young players that came through the teaching academy at the cricket centre has now broken through to the England Test side.
Away from work:
With two young children my life outside work is not really my own. I do however find time to still play what vaguely passes as football and enjoy tennis when the weather permits.
